I usually take screenshots, explore, and hunt things in SP and roleplay in MP.

I make up storylines. One of the things i pretend is that my mate despises one of my pups (I always make up a reason )) And i carry it far away. (Tip: Howl and it sort of ''resets'' your mate when your mate is trying to take a pup back to the den. Your mate starts hunting or going back to check on your pups at the den) I pretend my mate is trying to kill the pup and she ordered me to drown it. I have to take care of the 'Hated Pup'' And my pups at the den. Lot of fun. On my den mission i find a cow elk, lower her life a bit and then chase her all the way to my den. I keep her there. And on the summer journey i chased her (with my pups) to the summer home. I also name the elk. She becomes my pet or friend. Whatever you would call it.

Coincidence, as I was bored like this just yesterday and was running around doing a bunch of stupid stuff. These were some of the stuff I did yesterday.

Poke my mate
Confuse one of the NPC wolves in a wolf territory by selecting a bunch of random options ( it actually worked and eventually she just said 'I've got to go" and ran away )
Take my favorite pup on a "special vacation" far away from the den and just wander around, exploring SC with her, but keeping her well-fed and treating her like a momma/daddy's girl
Y'know how sometimes if you line yourself up just right behind a coyote it'll get so that the red wolf icon appears and you're stuck behind them until you stop or bite them twice? Don't move at all and just stay there and see where they take you ( This one's pretty funny but I got bored quickly with it and continued my mate quest )
Chase bob all over the place and watch him gallumph around ( by far the funniest one. I didn't stop chasing him until he finally just randomly disappeared near my den )
Follow my mate when she goes out to hunt ( and try to keep up with her )
Wander around and explore, do things that I don't normally think about doing, mess with glitches, pretend there is no storyline to the game ( i.e. the pups and mate missions ) and bascially just do whatever.

Edit: i'm suggesting as many things as i can, hopefully they will be useful for you to be un-bored:

1. One of the things i suggest is write a book, look at other peoples books on user writings. You can look at the character bank, research about wolf behavior, and read good inspiring wolf books such as Promise Of The Wolves.

2. You can make a wolf comic as well. You can take wolf screenshots for small comics. Stick them in pages or microsoft word. You can use google chromes google drive or paint and google images to edit wolves in. Be creative and have fun! In the meantime i'm going to work on both things above.

Well I have the dead body glitch so I like to find my dead body. Oh and I like to find the dancing Coyotes in multiplayer.

I saw my dead body once too o-o I sat and stared at it for two seconds... then freaked out that the game didn't glitch on where my camera was stuck on dead body though I had already respawned. xD

Here's a few more ideas:

-Pretend that coyotes, hares, bares and NPC wolves are invading your territory (which is actually one of the wolf pack spawning places in AM) and try to run them off or kill them.
-Herd a whole herd of elk out of the hunting grounds to the middle of the map, and watch them run around. Then if you get bored of that, come back to them later and try to find them. (I once found two in that pond in AM. XD)
-Take an elk for a walk around the map.
-Make up random goals while playing SP. (Like try to keep a few or one of your pups away from your mate, or plan to move to the cliffs in SC and try and keep them there, only feed your pups elk you killed, etc.)
-Try testing out different different stats for different things.
-Ask someone (like your mother, sister, etc.) to name and design your wolf (including personality [meaning if they are dominant or not], and their stats!) or try and make your wolf a version of your favourite movie star or something.
-Name your pups after people you know, and see who survives the longest or is the smartest.
-Try not to die while hunting (or while trying to complete quests).
-Try to act like a real wolf, and extend the time you must wait for your pups to grow up or to find a mate, etc.
-Die a million times on AM and laugh at the dead bodies.
-Grab a friend and spawn hares. Whenever someone says "FORE!" just step on the bunny bush/flower and chase them! (Or even spawn bears or coyotes. [I know where they spawn. Coyotes spawn at one of the rocks on AM, and Bob spawns near Little Butte on SC!)
-Run around in "circles of doom." (Tip: Run around Bob, and try to avoid being hit! Or even try to race elk!)

Hunt elk.
Kill coyotes just because.
Fight NPC wolves.
On multiplayer, provoke the bears eating at carcasses and laugh at the fact that you have several corpses on the map. I and the other players were laughing at the random wolf carcasses.
"Wow, this dead body looks just like you!" "We are gathered here today by our carcasses to mourn for ourselves."

I've actually killed all the elk in a hunting ground before whilst preparing for springtime- I wanted to have a good food source.
here's some of my own suggestions-
take your pups on a hunting expedition- activate the final journey and go to an elk hunting ground w/ your pups, and kill elk to show them how it's done.
nomadic- travel all over the map with your pups, never settling in one place for long. see how many hidden secrets you can find!
that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

-Challenge myself to hunt every elk on the map
-Look for human impacts
-Swim the entire creek for no reason
-Visiting all the wolf territories in AM and interacting in the social arena

Just some things I'll do when I have nothing else.

Pretend you are Okami Amaterasu (A wolf from the game Okami). You can run around like in the title scene, battle monsters, save people, find items... But do that in WolfQuest.
