Emily sat on a rock, looking at the sky.
The clouds were grey, dark and stormy.
When it started to rain, she'd sigh.
The raindrops touched her pelt ever so slightly.
She came into a cave, and curled up tightly.
Zzzz...

Blackburn
Blackburn stopped snarling when the scent faded away, the wind had shift and now blew at his back, so the danger could still be close. The muscular male stood and watch for a moment, but after a moment of silence he turned and hopped back on his rock. Staring over the pack with alert eyes, he knew he'd be tired the next morning after staying up all night, but he would muscle through it. Blackburn's golden eyes caught the rays of moonlight as they flicked around the dark shadows, his black form was like a silhouette, nothing but a still statue of a noble wolf, watching over his beloved pack.
His ear swivelled alertly as a wolf howled in the far distance, saying his thanks for the pause of recent blizzards. Below the ridge from where the pack had come, a great horned owl hooted like a ghost, flying silently through the tree's on her nightly hunt. All else was silent as Blackburn stood guard, and the night wore on.

-Zerivus-
The two wolves had started relaxing now that night time had come, though Zerivus was watching over his sister. He heard the distant howl, and understanding it must of been another wolf saved by that pack. Zerivus layed next to Verzulie, his ears turning to even the slightest of sounds. Tomorrow he planned on hunting, not sure what they would find, but definitely ready for anything.

Landa saw the pack stop and he sat down. Landa adored how the sky looked at night, but the cold still bothered him, despite having thick fur. Landa yawned and lied down, curling up into a ball. His Amber eyes stared off at the stars that were visible from this low on the ground... but slowly and surely... Landa's eyes closed and he drifted off to sleep

(Just need Timber to post and FV moves to their forums!! I'm so excited to RP as Landa there!!!! ^^)

- O r p a h -
The night brought a chill so strong it made her stop, miserably bearing the stinging numbness of her body. She twitched her ears, and watched the pack move along. She started going again, the snow crunching under her freezing feet, the cold taking advantage of her small size. I want to lean on somebody..., she thought idly. She noticed a few lying down already, and plopped down to do the same. I guess we're resting? I don't know...

- A z a l e a -
"It's so cold," she muttered to herself, her lips making a firm line. Her uncomfortable hunger kept her stomach growling loudly. She sniffed the air, occasionally turning around to look over her shoulder. When will this snow melt?

I'm gonna start with a new character as I'm roleplaying Blackburn on the FV website. I don't want to see this thread die, I have too many great memories here.
Firenze
Spoiler
Show
Gender: Male
Age: 4.9 Years
Appearance: His coat is black on his underside, face, and legs, while the top of his back, neck, tail, shoulders and sides of his neck are grey. He is large and muscular, with a lot of skill.
Personality:
Positive Traits :: Loyal | Trustworthy | Humorous | Caring | Skilled | Intelligent
Neutral Traits :: Daring | Brave | Sacrificing | Protective
Negative Traits :: Rough | Snappy | Aggressive | Dark | Competitive
The morning was calm as the sun rose over the eastern horizon, shining golden rays over the green spring grass within Yellowstone National Park. The leftover snow that now lay in patches throughout the valley began to melt as the day warmed with the rising sun, elk called to their newborn calves and occasionally a mule deer would cry out. A warming breeze rustled through the fresh grass of the Lamar Valley as the cool waters of the Lamar River rushed by, fueled by the melting snow of the surrounding ridges and peaks. In the distance Amethyst Mountain loomed, covered in the majestic Douglas Fir tree's.
All in all this was the most beautiful land plentiful with life, true and majestic.

In the middle of it all a dark figure trotted stealthily through the tall green grass. Grey eyes intent on the trail it followed. The brute had his nose to the ground, he had caught the scent of an elk herd, and was now on the hunt. He hopped onto a flat rock jutting out of the earth, standing just above the grass. He gazed around, keen eyes spotting the herd ahead. He could just see the heads of young calves bouncing around as they played.
The large male jumped to the ground, stealthily trotting towards the herd as he planned out his attack.
Firenze moved to the back of the herd, keeping his scent downwind of the elk. His years of life had left him with much skill in hunting and combat. He approached then, stepping carefully as his eyes locked onto a calf that had wandered away from its mother. Firenze crouched himself close to the dirt as the cow looked up with a quick glance around before going back to grazing.
Just a few steps more... The male bounded out of the tall grass, latching his jaws around the calf's throat before it could escape. He bolted away, caring the calf, before the mother could try to defend it.

It may seem to be a cruel act to some, but it was the way of life. Firenze went back to the flat rock, there eating his breakfast.

-Zerivus-
It had been a while of him and his sister traveling together, but today, things changed. A new season had come, the two were both mature and desired to find their own way in life. Zerivus had a heartbreaking moment as he looked towards his sister, and gave an uneasy grin, as he slowly walked away, towards the Lamar River. Thoughts of worry ran through his head, but he felt that they both would do just fine. His head stayed lowered as he breathed in deeply, accepting the change.

-Verzulie-
With the seasons change, Verzulie was quite excitable. But when she noticed Zerivus starting to leave, for the first time in a while she felt her heart sink. It was a silent moment of a sad goodbye, but she knew it had to come some time. Just not during the winter. She lowered her head, looking at him as she turned away, and started leaving in a different direction. Her direction was towards Amethyst Mountain. Despite the sadness of leaving, she lifted her own spirit, her head up and her ears perked, she was ready for this.

Firenze

After devouring his meal, the black and grey male sat up from his laying position. His muzzle was blood stained, but not very noticeable on his dark furred face. The sun had risen since Firenze had made his kill, and was now sitting closer to the top of the sky. The tall spring grass swayed in the breeze, mimicking the leaves of Aspen tree's.

With a huff, Firenze hopped off the rock, his large paws landing in the soft soil below. The ground was slightly dampened by the melting snow. The large brute made his way to the Lamar River, it's waters chilled by the Great Melt. His greyish blue eyes took in the landscape, watching two birds as they raced to build a nest, the elk had moved off, a redtail hawk floated on the wind, and, to Firenze's pleasure, no pack seemed to be around.

He reached the river then, it's crystal clear waters fresh and clean. He stopped his head, muzzle dipping into the cold aqua. As he lapped the icy water nearly froze his tongue, but it was refreshing.

-Zerivus-
Along the way of walking, Zerivus looked up a little, taking in the scent of a kill that was quite the ways off, the scent had mixed with a wolf's, so he assumed whatever kill this was was already eaten, what's the point of fighting for food if there is none in the first place? So instead, he looked around the general area, moving left and right to catch the scent of what the prey was. Elk. The scent delighted the fairly sized wolf, as he trotted along, to go track these elk down.

-Verzulie-
The female wolf trotted in a bouncy way, her eyes set on the landscape ahead of her. She felt her stomach grumble a bit, but knew she could hold off a while on food until she found some, and thus was not desperate to find any nearby prey. There was a deer nearby, a buck that had recently shed his antlers, but she was not interested in taking it on, as it would likely injure her one way or another.

I'm gonna try out two new characters...
Nyx
Biography
Show
Name: Nyx
Age: 3.8 years
Gender: Female
Size: Moderate
Wolf type: Unknown
Personality: Very strange. Random, sometimes. Loyal when you win her heart, pretty straight forward, on-it, serious, boring, you'd think she was ill... snobby sometimes, ridiculously submissive and yet annoying when proven guilty of something (which isn't often), generally sarcastic, likes to play practical jokes for pleasure, really strange voice... higher than Azalea's but not in that annoying, piercing way. Was kicked out of pack early, and acts really immature sometimes because she never really got to be a pup
Fur color: Mostly chestnut brown on her back and the top of her head, white everywhere else, grey socks
Fur texture: Fluffy and soft, easily tangled
Eye color: Olive-tinted yellow
Nyx lied on a rock for five hours solid, doing nothing. Not even sleeping. She raised her head when she thought maybe a coyote passed by, but it was awful big for a coyote. Maybe a wolf. But it hadn't seen her, so she ignored it. But when its scent got to her it really was a wolf, but who cared? Not her, she thought.
Nyx shifted and sighed out her nose, the air accidentally hitting her voice box and she made a weird noise. Her short tail thumped the rock, and with her paws patted a beat on the rock randomly, then stood up on the boulder when it hit her. The scent of so many wolves...
Walter
Biograhpy
Show
Name: Walter
Age: 2.1 years
Gender: Male
Size: Slightly larger than average male wolf
Wolf type: Grey wolf
Personality: Overly friendly, super chatty, feelings are easily hurt, will be friends with you even if you hate him (you just can't resist >:p), puppy-like sometimes, not very strong but can manipulate when in the right mood (and that is a rare mood), once had a partner but... Neptune, BB. He stole her
Fur color: Similar markings to Azalea. Random scars here and there
Fur texture: Not too fluffy. Very matted. You would snap your brush if you tried to brush his fur
He lied curled up with his face hidden in his back paws, crying as if he were a pup all over again. Sometimes he wailed, sometimes he weeped, and he never felt anything like this before. Bella had rejected him, and he hadn't a clue why, but whenever he'd resist she'd continue building a wall. She already hid the pups from him and said they weren't his; what next? Would she leave him here? His voice was squeaky and hoarse, he had been lying there for maybe two hours now, and he had calmed a bit. But sometimes there'd be a random burst of sobbing here and there. Get a hold of yourself, laughed a voice from inside. He almost wanted to laugh too, but he knew what he wanted and it wasn't to laugh.
Notes: tragedy and drama so far.. as usual 8) (Haha I'm kidding)

Because this thread is being buried and I have no muse for anyone else right now....
‹« Blackburn »›

The huge male trotted steadily along the river bank, his large paws sinking into the soft mud as he carried himself tall and confident. It was mid spring, the sun was out with a few white clouds dotting the sky, and the tall green grass swayed in the gentle breeze. It was a beautiful day, but at the moment it didn't really mean much to Blackburn. He was on the hunt, filtering through all the scents of the valley in hopes of finding a good prey source. Had to be around here somewhere, right?

Wrong. He'd already been searching all morning, and still he'd yet to find one trail of elk. There was a few mule deer scents, but due to his mass he wasn't swift enough to catch one of those. Could try fishing, but that was hardly enough to satify his hunger. Ah, the joys of being above average size of the mackenzie valley wolf. Always hungry.

~Skylark~
Spoiler
Show
Gender: Female
Age: 3
Appearance: Light gray with a gray undercoat, giving her a bit of a messy appearance. She has copper colored eyes.
Personality: Usually serious. Very stressed with pups and the like. Usually strays away from her responsibilities. Likes to think of herself as the daughter of a leader, but that is not the case.

Sky stretched and yawned as she woke. She had no clue what time of day it was--she was in her cave.
The she-wolf usually stayed in this cave until she grew hungry. Her last encounter with the outside world wasn't so...
nice. There was a run in with a bear, to put it shortly.
Skylark rolled over again to smile at nothing. A wall. Of stone. It was the joy of stretching really that caused her to smile.
Besides that, here in this cave, she was alone. Not that she cared, rather, it was nice to be alone once in awhile.
After a few long moments of enjoying her rest, she stood and started out the cave. She was meant by the rays of sunlight glaring on her, forcing her to squint until her eyes were properly adjusted to the quick change in lighting. "How annoying,"
she grumbled. With that she started to trot down the hillside, happily bouncing. I wonder if I'll find any wolves today. This is, after all, no one's actual territory. She thought to herself.

Meh. Scrap 'em Nyx and Walter. here's a better character:
_-=/Adharc\=-_
Description
Show
Gender: Male
Age: 3.1 years of age
Appearance: Back is a nice blend of reds, greys, and browns. Same colorings on underbelly, just lighter. White paws. Left eye is orange, right eye is yellow. Tall
Fur Texture: Very weatherproof. Thick and long.
Personality: Very introverted. Not autistic, but socially awkward. Has had bad experiences in packs. Good hunter. Loner. Likes to sniff concrete roads that run through Yellowstone that big metal boxes on wheels go down
The morning sun shone warm and hot today. Already up, Adharc trotted through many sage brushes, smelling plenty of predators and prey. He thought about maybe catching breakfast, before spotting a magpie while walking through purple and blue wildflowers and some tall grass. A red butterfly flitted around his face before settling on the tip of his ear, splaying its wings. He held still, sniffing quietly at the air and grass, the butterfly lingering on his head.

Sky started to grow hungry. Nothing exciting had happened yet today. Maybe this hunt would bring something along.
It took a long time, but eventually she got to the hunting grounds where an elk herd stood grazing. It was a risky attempt;
bring down an elk as a lone wolf. But she had to take the chance. Rabbits would not sustain her whole life out here.
She started running. The bull elk lifted his head, and she slid back to watch. Bull elks could be aggressive at times. Mostly they weren't, yet they could be if they knew how weak she was.
There.
A calf had strayed outside the herd, and the herd wasn't too worried yet to start running. She had to be at least 40 meters off, if not more, and she could cover that ground fast. Hopefully the herd wouldn't realize that until she had the calf.
The calf's mother didn't seemed to distressed.
She started to sprint forward, but the calf was faster. In just five minutes she lost her prey and watched it as it ran out across the fields, while she had an aching paw that was stepped on by a cow.

Chulyin
Spoiler
Show
Gender: Male
Age: 3
Appearance: Dark gray fur, deep amber eyes, Notch in one ear, stockily built
Personality: Independent, distrusting, quick minded
Chulyin savored the last remains of his meal as he cleaned the bones of any remaining meat the ravens had left from the previous day, their endless call stirred the air as he cracked open a bone to get to the marrow. Slowly, he got up and trotted off a distance to the shade of a nearby tree so that he could rest as he digested his meal. He close his eyes content. With the ravens ever calling, he drifted off to sleep.
Life is full of death
It is the way of life
Predator and prey
I bring life and I take it
That is the way of nature
